The Flourishing Experiment

Running with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome

Sid Efromovich, who has a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP), discusses how he discovered his Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CPS), how unbelievably lucky he has been, why his orthopedist never thought he would walk again, and what he had to do to be able to run. Sid shares some of his favorite places to run and his experiences running the Chicago Marathon and the New York City Marathon. Sid and Kari also discuss how to know when to stop running and how to create a mindshift when it comes to the feeling that you can run longer, but when you decide not to do so.
